PANalytical builds world's most innovative X-ray tube factory

PANalytical is building the world's most innovative X-ray tube factory in Eindhoven. PANalytical is the only supplier of analytical X-ray instrumentation that also develops and produces its own X-ray tubes, which are an essential part of the equipment. To further strengthen this technological advantage, an ultramodern new factory is being built in Eindhoven.

"People with broad specialist knowledge in the field of X-ray physics, high voltage, vacuum, electron optics, materials science and process technology are working in the tube factory in Eindhoven. By further strengthening its position as technology leader and innovation facilitator, PANalytical ensures employment of highly educated personnel in the future", says Peter van Velzen, Managing Director of PANalytical.

Maarten van Andel, General Manager PANalytical Eindhoven, says: "PANalytical has great faith in the future and keeps investing in new tube development and in new tube production technology. The new three-storey high building will break new ground in the field of X-ray tube technology with its unique modern installations and efficient floor layout".

On 7 May 2010 Ms. Mary Fiers, the alderman for Economic Affairs, laid the first stone in Eindhoven. On reaching the highest point in November 2010 the second milestone of this building project was passed. Operation is planned to commence in the second half of 2011.
