To strengthen our team, we are looking for a

Service Engineer (m/f)


With an awareness of support market trends, you'll work in team operations that provide first line support to customers, while also co-coordinating and leading individuals to maximize productivity and efficiency within assigned projects.

As an engineer, you will bring values, motivate and train individuals in teams to ensure the maximum mind-share and understanding of the EFSC deliveries and will be a reference in execution and application of standard methodology and tools. You will make decisions based on established processes and procedures and are responsible for all decisions within service and project boundaries.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for repair, developing and implementing processes and tools to improve service process/product in EFSC
  • Accountable for risk assessment and profitability
  • Controls costs to ensure in projects implementation remains within the planned budget
  • Performing simple to complex repairs and services in LC, LC -MS, GC, GC -MS or bioscience systems
  • Optimize our quality standards and documentation according to ISO 9001
  • Cooperation with our customer contact centre, production and development departments
  • Supervise and set up test stations and establish processes in collaboration with service providers
  • Working in an international environment

Your profile:

  • Recent Graduate in Engineering or Bioscience in a chemical and technical environment or completion of a commercial training as technician
  • First experience with chromatography and spectroscopy systems (especially GC , LC, MS, FTIR) or other complex technologies, e.g. QPCR
  • Ability to carry out repairs independently or as part of a team and take into account customer priorities and processes
  • Systematic, creative and goal-oriented character
  • Ability to capture complex relationships
  • Customer focused
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent English, fluency in German is a plus
